Like sunlight scattered across a lake at midday, ‘Daneila’ arrives in watercolour washes of clear blue, soft green and blush, the kind of dress that belongs at the water’s edge. We led with the heart-shaped neckline, edged in delicate frilled trim for a touch of softness and girlish movement. Above it sit double-layered ruffle sleeves, a deliberate play of volume against the slimness of the arm, so the silhouette feels light and the arm looks all the more slender. Across the bust, gentle gathers shape the fabric into a rounded, dimensional line that sits beautifully. From beneath the bust the waist draws in and the skirt releases into a full A-line sweep, lengthening the body and balancing the proportions beautifully. The real beauty is in the skirt: seven curved flying panels, each finished with a finely rolled hem, layered to build dimension across the skirt. They move like wind rippling across water, catching the light as you walk so the whole skirt seems to drift and float. We chose an exclusively developed fabric for this one, a lightweight watercolour-print organza with an airy, breathable base and a feather-light drape that falls beautifully without ever feeling heavy. The hand has a subtle, dry texture that lets it float and pool with every step. The print itself is hazy and dreamlike, clear blue pooling into rippling green and flushes of pink like moonlight settling over a lily pond, the colours seeming to swim and shift in sunlight.
